Hon’ble Mr. Justice Pradeep Kumar Srivastava

Judge, High Court of Jharkhand, Ranchi

 Born on 01.01.1966 at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh in a small village-Bhadewai, P.S. Phoolpur in a reputed middle-class family. Grand-father Late Mahavir Prasad was leading Mukhtar in pre-independence era and father Late Badri Narayan Srivastava was retired Principle, Government Post Graduate College. Both Grand-mother Late Dulari Devi and mother Late Murat Devi were very religious house wife.

Did Primary Education from village, Matriculation & Intermediate from Government Queens Inter College, Varanasi and did Graduation from Udai Pratap Degree College, Varanasi in the year 1984.

Obtained LL.B. degree in the year 1987 from Sri Harish Chandra Post Graduate College, Varanasi.

Enrolled as an Advocate on 12.07.1988 at District Court, Varanasi and practiced from 12.07.1988 to 31.10.1998 in Civil, Criminal and Revenue Matters.

Selected for the post of Assistant Prosecution Officer through competitive examination conducted by UP.P.S.C securing 11th rank in the merit list and served as A.P.O from 01.11.1998 to 31.12.2000 while posted at Kanpur City, U.P.

Also selected for the post of Civil Judge (Jr. Division) in Uttar Pradesh in the year 2000 securing 28th position in the merit list.

Joined the Jharkhand Superior Judicial Senior as Additional District Judge on 02.01.2002 through competitive examination securing 1st position in the merit list and promoted as District Judge on 12.03.2007. Served as Principal District Judge in Garhwa, Dumka, Giridih, West Singhbhum at Chaibasa, Koderma and Bokaro districts of the State of Jharkhand. Also worked as Registrar (Establishment) in the High Court of Jharkhand, Ranchi from July, 2010 to December, 2010 and as Principal Law Secretary to the State of Jharkhand during the period from May, 2019 to September, 2020.

Elevated as Additional Judge of High Court of Jharkhand, Ranchi on 07.06.2022.
