Hon’ble Mr. Justice Navneet Kumar

Judge, High Court of Jharkhand, Ranchi

Born on 20th March, 1963 at Ara in the old district of Shahabad (now Bhojpur) in Bihar. He is the third son to Shrimati Sharda Narayan and Late Hridaya Narayan.

Education: -
He completed his matriculation from St. John’s High School, Ranchi. He did his Intermediate and Graduation Studies in Physics from St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi. He completed his LL.B. from Campus Law Centre, Delhi University in 1987. He also went on to do his Masters in Law (LL.M.) from Delhi University.

Job Profile:

• He started his practice at Delhi High Court and then he moved his practice to Patna High Court from 1990 and continued it for some 10 years.
• He joined the Superior Judicial Services in the State of Jharkhnd on December 22, 2001 as Additional Judicial Commissioner, Ranchi.
• In 2003, he became the OSD to His Excellency, the Governor of Jharkhand.
• In 2005, he became Additional District and Sessions Judge, Dhanbad. Thereafter, he became a Senior Faculty Member in Judicial Academy, Jharkhand. • In 2008 he became the Member Secretary of Jharkhand State Legal Services Authority (JHALSA), Ranchi.
• In 2010 he became the Principal Judge, Family Court, Ranchi. Thereafter he was posted as the Principal District & Sessions Judge, Lohardaga. Subsequently, he became the Principal Secretary to Honourable the Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court and thereafter he was posted as the Principal District & Sessions Judge, Garhwa.
• He became the Member Secretary of JHALSA.
• Then he had been the Judicial Commissioner, Ranchi till his elevation on 8th October, 2021 as a Judge of High Court of Jharkhand, Ranchi.
